Lago di Cama
I did this hike up through Val Cama to Lago di Cama on the 18th of November 2022 when many areas where already snow covered.
I came across the lake while looking at Swisstopo for snow free hiking trails and decided to go. The only way to get up to the lake is by hiking, so it is a very quiet area, at least in the off-season.

I took the train to Bellinzona and changed to a train taking me to Castione-Arbedo, from where there was a bus going to the village of Cama. It was a very cold but beautiful November morning, with crisp air and snow on the surrounding peaks.
As it was the end of autumn, many of the trees had already lost their leaves, but I was happy to discover that there was still golden autumn colors spread out over the trail on my way up through Val Cama.
After the first climb, the path flattened and as I randomly looked down, I saw this little guy on the side of the path. I never saw a salamander before, so I spend a few minutes taking pictures of him, before I continued the hike up.
After a couple of hours, I reached Lago di Cama, and it was even better than I had expected. There was no wind, so the lake reflected the surrounding mountains beautifully. I was completely alone by the lake and it was very quiet and peaceful.
I went to the side of the lake for a lunch break, to catch a bit of sun and warmth and there also found several smaller waterfalls coming down. It started being more windy, so I was happy I had managed to take pictures earlier, when the lake surface was completely still.
After a long lunch break and more pictures of the lake and surrounding mountains, I started my descent back to Cama, to make sure to catch the bus in time. The hike down was beautiful with the golden leaves and blue skies behind and I can definitely see myself coming back to this lake.
